• Pick-up and Transfer to Ollantaytambo: 4:00 – 5:30 am. We begin the day by picking you up at your hotel in Cusco and heading to the train station in Ollantaytambo. During this one-and-a-half-hour minibus journey, you can enjoy the beautiful typical Andean landscapes and see locals going about their daily activities.
• Train Ride to Aguas Calientes: 6:00 – 7:30 am. We take the train to Aguas Calientes, the base village for visiting Machu Picchu. This hour-and-a-half ride allows you to admire the beauty of mountainous landscapes and fertile valleys.
• Transfer to Machu Picchu: 8:00 – 8:25 am. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our transfer will be waiting to take you to the bus station. From there, we will take a bus to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, a journey of approximately 25 minutes.
• Guided Tour of Machu Picchu: 8:50 – 11:20 am. Upon arrival, you will have a brief time to prepare before beginning the guided tour of the Inca citadel. For approximately two and a half hours, our expert guide will take you through the most important parts of the site, sharing with you the history, secrets, and majesty of Machu Picchu. From the Guardian’s House to the Temple of the Condor, prepare to be amazed every step of the way.
• Free Time and Lunch: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. After the tour, you will have free time to explore on your own and have lunch in Aguas Calientes.
• Return to Ollantaytambo and Cusco: 2:00 – 8:30 pm. Make sure you arrive at the train station in time to take the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our transfer will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
